Understanding Surf Ratio (why 0.83 instead 1?)

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

A PRO member asked me why he, as a PRO member, earn 0.83 credits per page surfed instead 1 credit. Since this can be a question of other members, I will explaing here how the surf ratio is calculated in Dare2Click.

A PRO member get 1:1 surf ratio. It means he get 1 visit to each page surfed. So, why he get only 0.83 instead 1 credit?

Below is the answer I sent by email to one of our members. Read carefully in order to understand it:

Hello, Peter

You get 0.83 + 0.17 per page surfed.
Every 20 pages surfed you get a prize of 3.4 credits.
3.4 divided by 20 = 0.17
So, 0.17 + 0.83 = 1 credit per page surfed.

Regards
Celson

Same thing happens with Free members. The bonus credits od 0.17 per page surfed (3.4 divided by 20) are added o the 0.33 credits per page he gets. So, Free members win 0.5 credits per page surfed, that is 2:1 surf ratio.

As I told to Peter,

This is a way to make the members really surf in order to get credits. This way I can give you a better quality of traffic.

Ok, I hope you understand now.

Upgrade Options: Subscription or One Time Payment?

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

As you already know, members can upgrade accounts and benefit from the 1:1 surf ratio (see 1 site, earn 1 credit) and the 35% recurring commission on upgraded accounts and traffic purchases. We are adding some payment processors like 2Checkout, e-gold, and some others. Also our script is ready to upgrade your account and add credits as soon as you pay, thanks to our new IPN script. Now we want your opinion: Do you think we could have some options to upgrade accounts without need to subscribe to recurring charges? How about to purchase a 3 month upgraded account, or a 6 month or 1 year one, even if it costs a bit more? Share your opinion with us by adding a comment to blog!

Are you using your Dare2Click Rotator?

Saturday, October 20th, 2007

If you dont now, every member at Dare2Click have his own personal website rotator. In order to understand how it works just click at the link below (this is my own rotator) then come back and read the rest of this post.

http://www.dare2click.com/rotator/1

As you already know, Dare2Click does not have a limit of sites you can add to rotation. So, when you add a website it will be available in your personal rotator too.

The URL of your own rotator is the URL above with your users ID instead mine. So, if your user ID is 103002 then you must substitute the /1 above by /103002

Every time you call the URL of your rotator, one of your sites you added to rotation at your Dare2Click account will appear. The site is choosen randomly by the script and you dont need to have credits allocated to this site. So, you dont spend credits when you use your rotator.

Bookmark sites to see later!

Friday, October 19th, 2007

Now you can bookmark the sites you like while you surf! Just click the new ‘Bookmark’ link at the surfbar! We added a new option to members area menu where you can see all bookmarks whenever you want.
